Ott Center for Track and Field Opening
November 16, 2024
Penn made history on Saturday, November 16 with the ribbon cutting for the Jane and David Ott Center for Track & Field. This 73,000 GSF, state-of-the-art indoor track and field facility includes a banked track, long and high jump pits, a throwing area, and over 1,000 spectator seats. It is a reflection of Penn's long tradition of excellence in track and field and will enhance and provide support to the Penn Relays - the oldest and largest track and field event in the country – and is a tremendous resource for the Philadelphia and regional track and field community. We are grateful for the philanthropic support of Jane Demarco Ott, W’87 and Dave Ott, W’85, Jay Alix, W’77, PAR’13, and Adria Sheth, C’97 and Brian Sheth, W’97, along with many others in making this long-awaited facility a reality. Many thanks to the leadership of Alanna Wren, T. Gibbs Kane, Jr. W'69 Director of Athletics and Recreation, Steve Dolan, James P. Tuppeny/Betty J. Costanza Director of Track & Field/Cross Country, and the team lead by Anne Papageorge, Senior Vice President for Facilities and Real Estate Services.
