MLK Social Justice Lecture and Award

Penn Interim President J. Larry Jameson, MD, PhD, delivered welcome remarks at the 24th Annual MLK Social Justice Lecture and Award.  This year’s honoree, Harvard University’s Orlando Patterson, delivered a keynote address on Slavery and Genocide: The U.S., Jamaica, and the Historical Sociology of Evil.  The event was held at the Zellerbach Theater, Annenberg Center, Penn Live Arts and was sponsored by the Center for Africana Studies and the Annenberg School for Communication.
