Claire Fagin Memorial Ceremony

Interim President J. Larry Jameson joined School of Nursing Dean Toni Villaruel, along with former Presidents Judith Rodin and Ambassador Amy Gutmann, and former colleagues, friends and family, to celebrate the life and career of Claire Muriel Mintzer Fagin, who served as Dean of the School of Nursing from 1977-1992 and Interim President of Penn from 1993-94. Fagin died January 16, 2024. Members of the Penn community joined together in her honor for a memorial celebration celebrating her legacy. The event was held at the Zellerbach Theater of Penn’s Annenberg Center, followed by a reception.
