Penn President J. Larry Jameson joined a small group of faculty and students to view a new exhibition at the Arthur Ross Gallery (ARG), After Modernism: Selections from the Neumann Family Collection. The exhibit was curated by the Class of 1940 Bicentennial Term Professor (and inaugural Faculty Director of the Arthur Ross Gallery) Gwendolyn DuBois Shaw, with engagement from the students in “The Art of Art Collecting,” a special SNF Paideia Program seminar. The Paideia seminar was co-taught with Peter Decherney, Edmund J. and Louise W. Kahn Endowed Term Professor in the Humanities. Dr. Sigal Ben-Porath, Faculty Director of the SNF Paideia Program, and Emily Zimmerman, Director of Exhibitions and Curatorial Affairs at the Arthur Ross Gallery, also joined.
