President's Engagement Prizes

Intended to strengthen Penn's commitment to impactful global, national, and local student engagement, the President’s Engagement Prizes(link is external) will provide recipients with up to $150,000 ($50,000 for living expenses for each student recipient, plus up to $100,000 for project implementation expenses) to develop and implement a promising local, national, or global engagement project during the year after graduation. 

President’s Sustainability Prize

What is the President’s Sustainability Prize?
The Sustainability Prize recognizes individuals and groups with an ambitious proposal for a post-graduation project that focuses on environmental issues, such as climate change, and is committed to making a positive, lasting difference in the world. Each Prize-winning project receives $100,000 (plus a $50,000 living stipend per team member). 

How do I apply for the President’s Sustainability Prize?
All applications submitted for the President’s Engagement Prize or President’s Innovation Prize are considered for the President’s Sustainability Prize. You do not need to apply separately and there is no separate application; however, we encourage you to highlight how your project advances sustainability in your application materials. The Sustainability Prize recognizes ideas, proposals, and projects that focus on environmental issues, such as climate change, and are committed to making a positive, lasting difference in the world.
